One-of-a-Kind and Unforgettable: A Remarkable Dog Finds His Forever Home

According to SNARR Animal Rescue, Woody was just five weeks old when he was attacked by another dog. Left without veterinary care, he had to heal on his own. Later, his owner abandoned him, tying him up outside and leaving him to fend for himself. For six weeks, Woody survived thanks to the kindness of neighbors who provided him with food until SNARR discovered and rescued him.

Woody’s previous family had moved away, leaving him behind, as shared in a post by SNARR. “We decided to take him out of this loveless environment.” Despite having a distorted face, Woody was in good health. “He may look different from other dogs, but that only makes us love him even more.”

A Heart Full of Love

Woody’s rescuers adore him not just for his unique appearance, but also for his incredible personality. They quickly discovered that this Pit Bull had a heart full of love. When Woody arrived at his foster home, he immediately formed a strong bond with his foster mother.

Jamie Bond, Woody’s foster mom, recalls, “The first day we got Woody, I had a fever, and he immediately sensed something was wrong. He stayed by my side the entire time, lying with me on the couch. He has become my shadow, always making sure I’m safe. Woody loves to curl up in bed and rest his head on my chest.”

Now eight months old, Woody is making up for lost time and enjoying his puppyhood. His playful and affectionate nature makes him a joy to be around.

Searching for the Perfect Home

SNARR was determined to find Woody the perfect forever home. “Woody is incredibly sweet and loving but requires some patience and care,” they shared. They also noted that he would do best in a home without cats, as he enjoys chasing them. “We also believe he would thrive in a household with only female dogs,” SNARR added.

Woody was being fostered with four other female dogs and was doing incredibly well. While he is great with kids, SNARR recommended a home with older children (over 10 years old) due to his size and occasional excitement. He isn’t aggressive, but his large size and playful nature can make him a bit energetic at times.

For those interested in adopting Woody, SNARR encouraged them to apply through their website to ensure he would be placed in the best possible home.
