The young cub, named Boncuk, was rescued and brought to Gaziantep Zoo after being illegally transported into the country.

Heartwarming images capture Boncuk embracing his new friend, a chimpanzee named Can. Other photos show the duo playing together, showcasing their growing bond.

Boncuk is just one of many rescued animals that have recently found a home at the zoo. Over the past month, the zoo has welcomed various rescued animals, including:

  • 10 parrots
  • 38 snakes
  • 10 flamingos
  • 40 peacocks
  • 28 pheasants
  • 15 reptiles
  • 2 iguanas
  • 15 ducks

A Special Friendship at the Zoo

Boncuk, the zoo’s newest resident, has been seen socializing with Can, forming an extraordinary companionship.

Adorable photos show the tiny bear cub locked in a warm embrace with the chimpanzee. Others capture them playing together, reinforcing their heartwarming connection.

On Monday, Boncuk and Can were spotted enjoying each other’s company under the watchful care of zookeepers.

In one touching moment, a zoo official was seen feeding Boncuk, ensuring the little cub receives the care and nourishment he needs.

Boncuk, who was taken in by the zoo after being smuggled into the country, is now safe and thriving in his new environment.

Captured in a peaceful setting, Boncuk sits on the grass with a bottle of milk nearby—a symbol of the fresh start he has been given.

This beautiful friendship between Boncuk and Can serves as a reminder of the incredible bonds that can form between animals, no matter how unlikely they may seem.
