The Golden Retriever family was filled with pure happiness as they greeted their adorable newborn puppies into the world.
Meanwhile, an inseparable pair of stray puppies has touched hearts on social media after being adopted by Buddhist nuns in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam.
One of the puppies has been seen protecting a shrine inside the temple, gently holding its companion in its paws. Another heartwarming image captures the dog in a Zen pose beside a Buddhist statue, hinting that it may be learning meditation from the masters.
The temple reportedly took in the two dogs after they were found abandoned on the streets of Ho Chi Minh City. Given a new chance at life, the puppies have since become beloved members of their spiritual home.
In response, social media users flooded platforms like Weibo with comments, praising the bond between the dogs. “Since they now live in a temple, they should practice meditation like the nuns,” one user remarked.
Others criticized the previous owners for abandoning the puppies. “I can’t understand how people can be so cruel. If they couldn’t care for them, they shouldn’t have had dogs in the first place!”
However, the widespread discussion online has also raised concerns about the well-being of dogs in temples.
According to a Twitter source, a monk from Bao Hua Son Temple in Khanh Hoa Province rescued the puppies.
“These puppies were born in a temple in Vietnam, and the nuns taught them to stand up and hug each other,” explained Mira Eleonora Pantazopol Loredanescu, a linguistics scholar at the Faculty of Linguistics in Bucharest.
She painted a darker picture, stating, “There is no happy ending for these little black puppies because they lack access to veterinary care in these temples.” Loredanescu, who actively exposes alleged animal welfare issues on her Facebook account, voiced her concerns over their future.
